We have been developing a novel REBCO coated conductor architecture wherein Ni, a conductive buffer layer, and a YBCO layer are epitaxially grown in sequence on a {100}<001> textured Cu/high-strength metal clad tape. Here, we report on the fabrication of a short YBCO/ SrTi0.85Nb0.15O3/Ni/Cu/SUS316 tape, and the evaluation of its Jc-T-B-theta properties.
