Critical current (Ic) evaluation under high fields is essential for developing 30-T-class REBCO magnets, yet steady-field facilities above 30 T are scarce. We developed a new Ic measurement technique combining the long flat-top pulsed magnet at ISSP, University of Tokyo, with a 1-kA-class pulsed current source. In a quasi-steady field of 38.7 T (70-ms flat-top), we obtained the *I–V* characteristics of a Fujikura REBCO tape, yielding Ic = 45 A at 26 K.
