Moiré photonic crystal (PhC) bilayers have attracted significant attention due to their intriguing optical properties including moiré flatband light localization[1]. Recent works have demonstrated that moiré PhCs enable the generation of optical vortices[2]. However, the reported approach relies on external laser irradiation with careful control over the irradiation angle and polarization. In this study, we numerically analyzed twist-stacked moiré PhC bilayers and found that their flatband modes can directly generate optical vortices. The vortex emission persists across a wide range of twist angles, highlighting the potential of moiré flatbands as a platform for compact vortex light sources.
