We will introduce basic principles of memdevices and their applications to neuromorphic systems. As an example, this proceeding describes the design, fabrication, and operation verification of a neuromorphic system that employs amorphous metal-oxide semiconductor (AOS) thin-film transistors as neurons and AOS thin-film memristors and Schottky diodes as synapses. This presentation will further provide a detailed overview of various memdevices, their utilization in neuromorphic applications, and their advantages and disadvantages.
