Conventionally, the 6S-6P transition has been utilized for the laser cooling of Cesium (Cs) atoms. Meanwhile, the 6S-7P transition possesses a narrower linewidth compared to the 6S-6P transition, and is thus expected to achieve cooling to even lower temperatures. Therefore, we have conducted research on a magneto-optical trap utilizing the 6S-7P transition of Cs atoms and developed a light source for this cooling process. Furthermore, to evaluate the frequency stability of the light source, we developed an optical frequency comb referenced to a highly stable RF signal. In this presentation, we will report on the development of this optical frequency comb and the evaluation of the cooling light source.
