Extending optical frequency combs to the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region is crucial for advancing fundamental physics; however, high-order harmonic generation demands a low-noise, highly stable, high-intensity seed source. To address this, we developed a Kerr-lens mode-locked solid-state laser based on a Yb:KYW crystal optimized for this application. To minimize environmental noise, the system was housed in a dedicated enclosure, and its long-term stability and pulse width were evaluated.
