To elucidate the crystallization mechanism of molten NaNixMn1−xPO4 under laser irradiation, microstructural observations and crystal structure analyses were performed on samples with systematically varied Ni/Mn ratios. Parallel-aligned columnar structures were observed in low-Ni2+ compositions, while locally developed radial crystals appeared in intermediate compositions. In high-Ni2+ compositions, layered structures were formed, accompanied by a phase transition to a metastable triphylite structure. These results suggest that the increase in laser absorption led to higher processing temperatures and subsequent rapid quenching, thereby altering the crystal growth mode and promoting the formation of the triphylite structure.
