The mechanochemical reaction is a chemical reaction induced by mechanical milling and is expected to be a promising approach for obtaining new functional amorphous materials. However, its low reaction efficiency remains a challenge. This study aimed to obtain a novel amorphous material using the mechanochemical reaction between silica glass and zeolite crystal, and investigated the effect of the precursor silica glass structure on the efficiency of the reaction. In this presentation, the differences in the mechanochemical reaction rates resulting from structural variations in the starting materials and the structural analysis of the resulting amorphous materials are discussed.
