Physical Reservoir Computing
In physical reservoirs using solid electrolytes that possess both photoconductivity and ionic conductivity, optical pattern classification is possible. In this study, a ZnO/Ag-doped Ta2O5 multilayer reservoir was fabricated, anticipating diversification of responses due to interfacial interactions, and its photoresponse characteristics were evaluated. The results showed no significant difference in time constants between irradiated and unirradiated states (174 µs and 167 µs), but the output amplitude increased approximately twofold. This suggests the possibility of effects due to photoexcitation of amorphous ZnO and the multilayer structure.
