I investigate the interdiffusion behavior of precusor film of liquid crystal materials D8AB and D12AB after contact. XRD measurements suggested that the two materials interdiffused in the liquid crystal phase to form a uniform mixed-phase. PSIE observations showed that after contact, the step at the interface of the grown precursor film was mitigated and a broad interface was formed, suggesting that the precursor film interdiffused and mixed with each other.
