Multiple magnetic-element thin films exhibit complex photoinduced spin dynamics, requiring element-specific observation techniques for their elucidation. In this study, we constructed a soft X-ray source based on high-harmonic generation (HHG) and measured the transmittance of Si3N4, Mg, and transition-metal thin films. As a result, we successfully generated HHG radiation with photon energies reaching 71 eV. This energy range covers the M absorption edges of transition metals, demonstrating the feasibility of element-selective transmission spectroscopy using the developed HHG source.
