Toward the realization of carbon neutrality, a detailed understanding of plasma reaction fields involving NxHy species is essential for the interconversion of hydrogen and ammonia, which are promising next-generation energy carriers, as well as for the controlled synthesis of short-lived NxHy species. In this study, focusing on N2/NH3 plasma reaction fields, experimental measurements of various NxHy species and improvements to reaction simulations were conducted to estimate radical reaction rates, with the aim of establishing technologies for interconversion and selective conversion to useful NxHy species. In this presentation, the detailed reaction mechanisms of NxHy species will be discussed.
