We evaluated photon-pair generation via spontaneous four-wave mixing in a cryogenic Si microring resonator toward co-integration with an optical quantum memory. Clear resonances with a linewidth of 320 MHz, comparable to that at room temperature, were observed at 9 K. Coincidence measurements revealed that linewidth broadening of the generated photon pairs was suppressed even at high pump powers, demonstrating the feasibility of narrowband photon-pair generation under cryogenic conditions.
