As part of efforts toward realizing Society 5.0, we are designing wireless communication circuits for an intermittently driven ultra-low-power compact device powered by solar energy. In this work, a power amplifier compliant with the IEEE 802.15.4 standard was designed in a 180 nm CMOS process. After confirming its operation through simulation, the chip was fabricated.
