We present a design of a D-shaped PCF based bio-analyte sensor. This sensor design is developed and analysed using multiphysics. The ultra-compact design uses Gold gratings and Zeonex, as sensor materials. Once the fiber parameters are optimized using Multiphysics simulation, we observed an excitation of SPP mode at the resonance wavelength of 978 nm. By varying the surrounding analyte RI we calculated sensitivity as 10.95 nm RIU-1. The use of Zeonex as base material makes the proposed sensor bio-compatible and hence it can be used for safe in-situ biomedical sensors.
