To achieve accurate sound field measurement of high-frequency ultrasound, an approach using a fiber optic surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor was investigated to detect refractive index changes in water. A SAW device was driven at 48.29 MHz with varying input power, and the reflected light was measured. The results demonstrated a clear shift in the sensor's peak wavelength (blue shift) corresponding to the input power. This indicates that the proposed sensor system can successfully detect underwater refractive index and amplitude changes caused by ultrasound.
