In recent years, with the global increase in the number of people with diabetes, there has been a growing need to develop glucose sensors capable of accurately measuring blood glucose levels for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Cu2O electrodes have been reported to offer advantages such as low cost, catalytic activity, and low environmental impact as electrode materials for non-enzymatic electrochemical sensors. However, they also have the drawback of being prone to changes in the electrode surface condition and having low stability. In this study, we investigated the improvement of sensing performance by controlling the thickness of the oxide layers formed by nanoparticles.
