For applications such as embryo quality assessment and spheroid evaluation, it is crucial to establish a method capable of measuring the metabolic activity of spherical cell clusters—measuring hundreds of micrometers in diameter—non-invasively and without obstructing optical observation. We have devised a concave-channel ITO-TFT based on a solution-gated thin-film transistor made of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), featuring a concave channel. In this presentation, we will report on the suppression of leakage current to enhance non-invasiveness, as well as the evaluation of spheroid metabolism measurement.
