While SiGe has attracted considerable attention for high-temperature thermoelectric material, its figure of merit (zT) near room temperature remains relatively low. Recently, it has been reported that SiGe-Au nanocomposites exhibit a high power factor through a thermal management effect. In this study, aiming to further improve the power factor, we focused on introducing the light metal element Al and the heavy metal element Co into SiGe. The objective of this work is to establish a strategy for enhancing the power factor via the thermal management effect through systematic investigations of the structural and thermoelectric properties of these materials.
