[8a-E308-6] Introduction of Horizontally Oriented Molecules into Blue UC-OLEDs

Improving EQE is crucial for the practical application of blue OLEDs, and enhancing light extraction efficiency through the horizontal alignment of light-emitting molecules is considered effective. In the upconversion UC-OLEDs we developed, alignment may also influence the internal upconversion process. In this study, we evaluated UC-OLEDs using highly horizontally aligned anthracene-based materials. The results suggest that this approach is effective not only in improving light extraction efficiency but also in enhancing triplet energy transfer efficiency at the interface, thereby leading to improved EQE.
