This study evaluated the etching characteristics of annealed PADC for application in radiation education. PADC samples annealed at 130 °C for 1.5 h were irradiated with α-rays and etched using NaOH aqueous solutions of different concentrations. The results showed that annealing increased the etch pit diameter, and similar values were obtained at 25 wt% and 30 wt% NaOH concentrations. These findings suggest that lower-concentration etching solutions can be used, contributing to improved safety in radiation education.
