温室効果ガスを排出せずに水素を製造する技術は，カーボンニュートラルな社会に向けて重要である．近年，FeCl3およびNaOHが溶解したメタノール溶液に対し，紫外線照射を行ったところ，水素の発生と発生水素量に顕著なNaOH添加量依存性が確認された．本研究では，FeCl3およびNaOHが溶解したメタノール溶液に対し，X線吸収分光法を実施し，Fe3+まわりの局所構造のNaOH添加量依存性を調査した．
