Organic multifunctional diodes (MFD) are devices capable of performing light emission (OLED), light reception (OPD), and power generation (OPV) all in a single unit. While the use of DMD electrodes improves transparency, a key challenge is the decrease in power conversion efficiency (PCE) caused by reduced light absorption. In this study, we aimed to compensate for the reduction in light absorption by increasing the thickness of the donor layer to mitigate the decline in PCE, while also analyzing the resulting changes in OPV characteristics and their underlying mechanisms.
