Chiral materials can distinguish the rotation direction of circularly polarized light due to their structural chirality. In this study, we evaluated third-harmonic generation (THG) in chiral two-dimensional perovskites, which are expected to exhibit strong third-order nonlinear optical responses. In the experiments, we confirmed the enhancement of THG due to exciton resonance and observed a distinct asymmetric response to right- and left-handed circularly polarized light. Through these findings, we aim to clarify the relationship between chirality and third-order nonlinear optical responses and apply this knowledge to the development of highly sensitive circularly polarized light detection technology.
