A study on improving the characteristics of coated self-emissive devices (QD-ELs) using blue core-shell quantum dots. To enhance carrier injection and transport, we investigated ligand exchange treatments for the quantum dots and the device fabrication process. Multilayer devices were fabricated using a solution process, achieving a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 6.39%. We report on the effects of ligand exchange and the film thickness of each layer on the improvement of device performance.
