In FMCW LiDAR, the generation of false signals due to aliasing in the ranging signal has been a problem when targeting high-speed objects at close range. In order to solve this issue, methods such as I/Q detection and dual-FMCW have been reported. However, in Si photonics LiDAR, there is also the problem that detecting low-frequency signals is difficult due to reflections at the beam output region and other factors. To address these issues, we propose extending the ranging and velocimetry using triplex-FMCW.
