We propose a compact laser Doppler velocimeter based on an on-chip fringe-pattern laser. Interference fringes were directly generated in a microchannel using a holographically modulated two-dimensional photonic crystal, and particle velocity was calculated from the frequency of the forward-scattered light. This approach enables robust particle velocity measurement without requiring a complex optical system.
