This presentation provides an overview of the development of research on interfacial phenomena and spontaneous orientation polarization (SOP) in organic semiconductor devices, and introduces recent findings on their correlation with the performance of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In particular, the discussion will focus on charge accumulation induced by SOP and approaches for suppressing exciton quenching, as well as the control of SOP through dipolar doping and its correlation with interfacial properties.
