We analyze the intensity and polarization distributions of optical non-Hermitian skin modes in an MT-symmetric anisotropic medium. We show that, in a system with gain and loss, the position of maximum electric-field intensity can spatially coincide with an extremum of the local degree of circular polarization. This result suggests that gain and loss provide a new degree of freedom for controlling two-dimensional polarization textures.
