The samples were either in a two-axis tracking measurement system or fixed at a south-facing tilt angle of 35 degrees. A cell set at 35 degrees with an initial outdoor conversion efficiency of 22.5% degraded to 20% after six months. On the other hand, the degradation was more pronounced in the two-axis tracking system than in the 35-degree set cell, but this cannot be explained solely by the difference in accumulated solar radiation. The higher junction temperature of the two-axis tracking system cell compared to the 35-degree set cell is likely a contributing factor. Furthermore, hysteresis in the IV curve tracing will be considered.
