Recently, we have reported that N’-formylkynurenine (NFK), produced by irradiating tryptophan (Trp) with oxygen radicals, can be converted with very high efficiency, 89.5% for NFK and 10.2% for kynurenine (KYN), for a total yield of 99.7% and that these compounds promote fibroblast proliferation.
In this study, we indirectly evaluated the synergistic effects of these derivatives on fibroblast uptake and proliferation.
