A terahertz-wave parametric wavelength conversion using lithium niobate crystals is useful as a high-power, frequency-tunable terahertz-wave generation and detection for industrial applications such as nondestructive sensing, as well as for fundamental scientific verification such as the validation of quantum optical effects. In this study, we constructed a MW-class passive Q-switched Nd:YAG laser to characterize the cavity length dependence and investigated its application to terahertz-wave parametric conversion.
