[9a-A13-6]Effect of Highly Excited States in Dressed Photon Dynamics

Highly excited states in which multiple dressed photons exist within a nanometric matter are discussed to explain the unique physical phenomena arising from the intermediation of dressed photons. While these highly excited states possess numerous degrees of freedom and behave like reservoirs for principal dressed photon states strongly localized in a nanometric matter, certain highly excited states have strong couplings to the system that maintain coherence, and thus, the internal structure of these reservoirs cannot be ignored. In this paper, the contribution of reservoirs to the dynamics of dressed photons is investigated through numerical simulations and theoretical considerations, promoting a qualitative understanding of physical phenomena involving dressed photons.
