This study aimed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of dual-comb spectroscopy using a time-programmable frequency comb. By employing the time-programmable frequency comb technique, it is possible to repeatedly measure only a short segment—just 0.6%—of the interferogram signal. This enables measurements with an efficiency more than 100 times greater than that of conventional dual-comb spectroscopy, promising faster and more accurate measurements. We applied this method to the measurement of surface acoustic wave amplitude and conducted a comparative evaluation with conventional methods.
