A thrust line is an influence line that generates inertial force on something that is accelerating. Also, the accelerating object generates its own thrust line in the same direction as the inertial force. This can be understood by considering the change in the divergence of thrust lines caused by the rotation of a top at different rotational speeds. The higher the rotational speed, the greater the mass, so the divergence of the thrust lines and the inertial force (i.e. centrifugal force) increases. Thrust lines are also generated in the accelerated motion of electrons within atoms and the vibrations of atomic nuclei. Since this is not a wave or energy, it is transmitted instantly.
