When we visited the Fukushima farmer, we succeeded in using the developed pico-sized water to reduce radiation levels in contaminated soils in Nihonmatsu City following the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami. For instance, radioactivity was reduced 90% for three days. We analysed the elements to determine the causes. As a result, radioactive caesium-134 and -137 changed to barium-135 and -137. The measurement was conducted at a lower air dose rate and used tap water from Nihonmatsu city as a control, resulting in no changes.
