In this study, density functional theory (DFT) calculations were employed to investigate SO2 sensing on pristine and Pt-functionalized Janus WSeTe monolayers. Pt decoration enhances the adsorption strength, charge transfer, and electronic response toward SO2 molecules. The results indicate that Pt-functionalized WSeTe exhibits superior sensing performance, highlighting its potential as an efficient material for SO2 detection
