Vibrational unharmonicity of long linear carbon chains (LLCCs) encapsulated in single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) was investigated by Raman spectroscopy. The wavenumber of L band depends on the host SWCNT diameter, and the anharmonicity was estimated from the wavenumbers of L band and the higher mode of vibrations.
