In recent years, we have demonstrated that peptide crystals containing aromatic rings can form distinctive intermolecular interaction networks. However, our understanding of the interactions between peptides during the process by which such crystal structures form through concentration from the solution state remains limited. In this study, using the tyrosine-containing tetrapeptide YEEY, we report on the correlation between the formation of intermolecular interactions and solution concentration by observing the crystallization process in situ using Raman spectroscopy.
