In this presentation, we focus on nitric oxide (•NO), an important biological signaling molecule among reactive oxygen and nitrogen species generated by low-temperature atmospheric-pressure plasma, whose evaluation remains challenging. Using Carboxy-PTIO, which reacts with •NO, and UV-vis spectroscopy, we attempted to identify and quantitatively evaluate •NO based on changes in the absorption spectra before and after plasma irradiation. In particular, the effect of irradiation conditions on the amount of •NO supplied is discussed based on the decrease in absorbance around 358.5 nm.
