Liquid Thermocouple Conversion

In liquid thermoelectric conversion using redox couples in solution, performance depends on the solvent. In this study, we focused on methanol-ethanol mixed solvent systems and investigated the dependence of thermoelectric properties on the mixing ratio. The results showed that at a methanol molar ratio of 0.9, the power factor improved by approximately 51% compared to the pure methanol solution. In this presentation, we will provide a microscopic analysis of the output improvement at a methanol molar ratio of 0.9 based on spectroscopic measurements, including X-ray absorption spectroscopy.
