Chirality transfer has attracted considerable attention as a highly sensitive method for detecting trace amounts of chiral molecules. In this study, we analyzed the circular dichroism (CD) of silicon core–chiral shell nanoparticles by introducing an electromagnetic coupling coefficient, cn, in addition to the conventional electric and magnetic Mie coefficients, an and bn. The results reveal that c1 is significantly enhanced at the magnetic dipole resonance, leading to a strong CD response through its interference with other multipolar modes. Higher-order-mode-induced CD will also be discussed.
