近年、メタサーフェス（Metasurface : MS）を用いた偏光測定手法が提案されている。MSを用いた円偏光度（S3）の測定には、入射光を偏光成分ごとに空間的に分離させる手法や透過率円二色性（ TCD）を利用する手法などがある。後者は集積密度や空間分解能の観点で優位であるが、可視光域（特に短波長）でTCDを示すMSを使用した偏光計測の報告はほとんどない。そこで本研究では、波長405 nmでTCDを示すMSの設計を行った。
