[9a-PB1-11]Local Solvation Structure Measurement of Atomically-Flat Ultrathin Pt Films

To elucidate the desolvation process at the electrode interface of lithium-ion batteries, we fabricated atomically flat Pt ultrathin films on SrTiO3(001) and Al2O3(0001) substrates to serve as model interfaces. By comparing the solvation structures on these surfaces using liquid FM-AFM measurements in a propylene carbonate solution, our results suggested that differences in the Pt orientation originating from the underlying substrates affect the solvation structure, which we report in this presentation.
