In this study, imidazolium-based ionic liquids (ILs) with different halide anions, HMIMCl, HMIMBr, and HMIMI, were introduced into CsFAMA perovskite precursor solutions to investigate the role of halide anions of ILs in perovskite solar cells. The IL additives were expected to improve film quality, passivate defects, and enhance device stability. The IL-treated devices exhibited improved moisture stability compared with the pristine device. Among the three ILs, HMIMCl showed the best stability improvement. This tendency is likely related to the smaller ionic radius of Cl−, which may allow more effective passivation of halide vacancies and defect sites in the perovskite films. These results indicate that the halide anion in IL additives plays an important role in determining the stability of CsFAMA-based PSCs.
