RE247 is a copper oxide superconductor with a crystal structure in which RE123 and RE124 are alternately stacked along the c-axis; a higher Tc = 95 K has been reported for Y247 compared to Y123.In this study, we attempted to fabricate highly c-axis aligned RE247 sintered bulks using the low temperature magnetic field alignment method and RE247 epitaxial thin films.
