REBa2Cu3Oy (REBCO, RE: rare-earth element) is widely used in oriented materials such as biaxially textured coated conductors and melt-textured bulks that can be regarded as large pseudo-single crystals. REBCO exhibits significant oxygen nonstoichiometry, and precise control of oxygen content through post-annealing in an oxygen atmosphere is essential. However, oxygen diffusion is slow in such oriented materials, often requiring annealing times exceeding 100 hours. In this study, EuBCO single crystals were used to investigate changes in superconducting properties by varying pre-annealing conditions, oxygen annealing conditions, and annealing time.
