It has been reported that the misfit layered compound (LaS)_1+δ(NbS₂) does not exhibit superconductivity in magnetic measurements (≈0.07 K) or electrical resistance measurements (≈0.20 K). In this study, we attempted to induce superconductivity in (LaS)_1+δ(NbS₂) using two approaches: introducing holes by partially substituting La³⁺ sites with Sr²⁺, or introducing electrons by partially substituting La³⁺ sites with Hf⁴⁺ taking into account the possibility that electrons could be responsible for conduction.
