With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), thermal management of highly integrated electronic devices has become an increasingly important issue. In this study, we proposed metamaterial non-radiative cooling, which combines metamaterials with thermoelectric conversion, and experimentally demonstrated passive cooling of an enclosed space without external power input. Furthermore, based on thermal balance analysis, numerical simulations confirmed that the temperature inside electronic devices can be reduced by this approach. The proposed technology provides a new passive cooling scheme that utilizes heat-energy flows in real space and is expected to open new application areas of thermal radiative photonics.
