We evaluated the disturbance tolerance of a packaged microcomb source based on a PMF-coupled, thermally controlled SiN microresonator with a 300-GHz free spectral range. Soliton generation was performed using a thermal control method with an auxiliary laser. The microresonator module was fixed on a vibration test system, and the output optical spectrum was monitored during vibration. Even under vibration conditions corresponding to road transportation with poor paved-road sections based on JIS Z 0232, the soliton microcomb was maintained, indicating stable operation under vibrational disturbance. We also report soliton-state discrimination based on soliton steps and a soliton generation method using DP-MZM-generated sideband light as an auxiliary light.
